Scorpions Basketball expects to abide by the following Code of Conducts:.

At Scorpions Basketball Academy we are committed to creating a positive, safe and high-performance environment for every player.
All members are expected to uphold the following standards:


RESPECT & BEHAVIOUR

• Respect coaches, teammates, officials and opponents at all times.

• Play within the rules and accept decisions made by coaches and officials.

• Do not post or comment on games, officials, coaches or club matters on social media in a negative way.

• Treat all participants with respect regardless of age, gender, ability, culture or religion.


TRAINING ENVIRONMENT

• Training sessions are for players, coaches and support staff (team manager / welfare officer) only to ensure focus and minimal distractions.

• Parents / Spectators are weclome the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of training session.

• Players must keep to set timings and be ready to train.

• Phones are not permitted during training sessions.

• Follow all instructions from coaches and give maximum effort.

• Arrive and leave correctly, do not bounce balls in corridors, no shouting or running and make sure all rubbish is taken away at the end of the session.


ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT

• Confirm availability for games and training at least 7 days before the event or when requested.

• Inform coaches or team managers as early as possible if you cannot attend via the 360Player App.

• Failure to attend a game after confirming availability may result in the player being responsible for any league fines incurred due to a forfeit.

• If leaving the club or moving to another team, 14 days notice must be given by a parent/carer (if under 18).
This is also noted in our Purchase Terms for cancelling any subscriptions. 


UNIFORM & GAME DAY STANDARDS

Players must wear appropriate basketball kit in line with FIBA regulations.

Players should:

• Wear suitable basketball trainers.

• Keep playing vest tucked in where possible.

• Wear visible socks.

• Ensure compression sleeves, braces or accessories follow team kit colour requirements.

• Wear only approved protective equipment such as mouthguards and ankle braces.


CLUB REPRESENTATION

When representing Scorpions Basketball:

• No smoking or alcohol.

• Players must comply with Basketball England / FIBA anti-doping rules.

• Training and competition fees must be paid promptly.

• Always represent the club with professionalism and pride.
